“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” Mark 11:24
To receive eternal life, we believe the message that God loves us, He wants to save us from eternal torment, and He sent Jesus to die in our place for our sins. Then we ask Him to forgive us and we believe we receive the new birth. The only proof that we have of our salvation is the knowing in our hearts. Our faith is our assurance of our salvation. Our own heart is our witness. In addition, we have another witness. The Holy Spirit assures us that we have been born again. Romans 8:16 says, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” We received eternal life simply by believing it, receiving it, and living it.
I like Romans 8:32; it says, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely five us all things?” Jesus died to save us from sin and spiritual death, but He also died to save us from all the effects of sin, including sickness. If God would freely give us eternal life, wouldn’t He also freely give us His healing?
Receiving healing-salvation is like receiving eternal-life-salvation. You believe it, you receive it, and you live it. It’s not complicated, but it is personal between you and God. You know God told you that it’s yours if you ask, so ask and know that it’s yours! Don’t let your belief be based on what you can see, just like your eternal life isn’t based on physical evidence. II Corinthians says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
When you believe you receive your healing, God will keep His promise; you will experience His power manifested in your body. Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Ask, go ahead and ask expecting a miracle!
Application: Do you need healing in your body? Believe that God has provided your salvation from sickness. Ask and receive healing. Then live and talk like someone who has been redeemed from sickness. Don’t go by what you see or don’t see, go by faith in God’s promise that whatever you ask for when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
