Say What You Believe

“…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23

Your words can be used as tools to exercise the authority that has been delegated to you through Jesus Christ. Words can also be used to locate your heart, revealing where you actually are in your faith.

  1. Exercise Your Authority

Christ paid the price for our redemption, including redemption for our physical healing.  As a representative of Christ in a physical body on the earth, we have been delegated the responsibility to take authority over sickness in the earth. The Holy Spirit has the power to enforce the authority that we exercise. The way we exercise our authority is through the words of our mouth.

In Mark 11:23, Jesus taught on authority, teaching us to use the words of our mouth to command His will. Through Christ’s work on the cross, we know that healing is part of our redemption.

  1.   Locate Your Heart

You can locate what you believe by the words that come out of your mouth. Jesus describes words to fruit and a tree to the heart. Whatever the nature of the heart is will determine the type of fruit that is born. Similarly, wherever you are at in your faith will naturally come out of your mouth.

In Matthew 12:33 Jesus says that “a tree is known by its fruit,” and in verse 34, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” A person could determine to speak only words of faith, but in times when the pressure is on and there is no one else is listening, the heart will speak what it believes. In those times, you can locate the position your heart is in concerning your healing. Focus on the condition of your heart, and the words will follow.

Application: Put your focus on your heart. Do you believe that healing is yours? Then healing is what you will be speaking. Do you believe that you have authority over sickness through Christ? Then command sickness to leave and healing to manifest.
