2 Corinthians 1

God has a comfort for the hurting soul that no one else can supply. God made the soul, He understands the soul, and He alone can provide what is necessary to make the soul whole. God can do what no psychologist can do. A doctor may identify causes of soul issues, share coping techniques, and prescribe medications; but only God can heal and comfort the soul. In verse 4 Paul talks about how he received God’s comfort, and how he ministers God’s comfort to others. Once we have a whole soul, then we are equipped to share the soul-saving power of God with someone else.

Proverbs 15-16

We can have joy on the inside that cannot be affected by the people or the situations on the outside. This joy is more than a human happiness; it’s God’s joy, a divine impartation. Human happiness is felt in the soul, but God’s joy in developed in our heart. Human happiness will go up and down, fluctuating with good and bad experiences. God’s joy is constant as a result of living in the spirit and by yielding to the Holy Spirit. Proverbs 15:15 says, “…he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].”
