Mark 9:1-29

In Mark 9:1-13 describes the transfiguration. Elijah and Moses appeared with Christ. Elijah and Moses were in their resurrected bodies, but manifested in the natural realm.

In Mark 9:14-29 is the story of the boy delivered from a demon that caused him to be deaf and mute. Keep in mind that sometimes physical ailments are not just physical. Sometimes it is a devil causing problems in the body. Sometimes when ministering healing, a spirit will manifest. Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee. In this instance, preparing in the spirit through fasting and prayer is necessary for the anointing to manifest.

To read more commentary on these two events, read January 26’s commentary on Matthew 17.

Numbers 28-29

In Numbers 28, God gives instruction for daily offerings, Sabbath offerings, monthly offerings, and offerings for Passover. They were continually giving offerings.

In Numbers 29, the Lord gives instruction for the offerings of the fall festivals that happen around September, the month that begins the new agricultural year.
