“…God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as through they did.” Romans 4:17
It can seem that dreams God gave to you have died or become stagnant. Maybe it’s because you failed, maybe it’s because people have failed you, or maybe it seems that the dream has expired. However, when a dream seems dead, don’t give up; God has been known to resurrect the dead, including what seems to be a dead dream or promise.
You Failed
It’s up to God to choose whom He will use, and God has been known to choose people who have failed. Failure happens for several reasons. Perhaps there is lack of ability, drive, stamina, knowledge, wisdom, or focus. Maybe someone was selfish or hurting and chose to sin. One thing about God we should know is that failure doesn’t frighten Him. In fact, one of God’s preferred qualifications is humility, not perfection, because humility puts a spotlight on God’s love and glorifies His grace.
I Corinthians 1:26-28 “(26) For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. (27) But God has chosen the foolish thing s of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; (28) and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the thing which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are.”
God will always forgive someone who comes with repentant faith; however, whether they fulfill their destiny or not is up to Him (Romans 14:4). Sometimes people fail several times (Proverbs 24:16), yet God is able to raise them up from their place of falling every time.
Other People Failed
God wants you to rely upon Him, not on your network of people – your family, your friends, your advisors, your promoters, or your investors. God has the connections you need, and He will not disappoint.
It Seems God Failed
Abraham and Sarah felt their promise from God to have a son would never come true. It may seem that God failed you and the dream that He promised has expired. Never stop believing. God wants the people in your world to see more than a miracle; he wants them to see Him.
Application: Our greatest accomplishment is when God is seen through us. Let Him resurrect you and your dreams for His glory.
