Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Included in the dominion mandate were the principles of sovereignty and authority, along with the study of all of earth’s intricate systems and then utilize all that knowledge to bless the inhabitants of earth including all the plant and animal kingdoms under man, and man of course under God. Although these sacred responsibilities became corrupted at the fall, they did not cease. Which is why when we see in human history and today, wicked men rise up to do the most horrible things to their fellow man and God does not jump in and say “OK Time out! Stop. I’m not going to allow you to do these things.” He allows it because it is part of the dominion mandate, even the horrible suffering that occurs as collateral damage. Yes eventually everyone will answer to God for their deeds, but it will not be until the Great White Throne Judgment until justice will be fully meted out.
Matthew 1:18-21 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Joseph and Mary were both godly Jews, but this was a one time supernatural event, never to happen again in human history. Though Joseph was a just man his natural inclination was to divorce Mary privately and not to have her stoned (Matthew 1:19; Deuteronomy 22:13-21). Thank God for the Holy Spirit who will speak to us and help us not to do the natural thing but the supernatural thing.
